With just a few days left until the highly anticipated super blue blood moon on Jan. 31, 2018, many of you are probably wondering what exactly is the meaning of a blood moon.Fortunately, it doesn’t mean that blood will rain down on the moon, nor is it an evil omen signifying the end of all days. In fact, blood has nothing to do with it, other than the crimson red color that mysteriously takes hold of our favorite light in the sky.

A “blood moon” is essentially a poetic name for what’s technically called a “total lunar eclipse” that occurs during a supermoon. On an ordinary day, the moon gets its shine from direct sunlight reflecting on its surface, but during a lunar eclipse, the moon moves through the Earth’s umbra (the darkest and most central area of Earth’s shadow). During this time, the Earth, moon, and sun are almost perfectly aligned. You’d think this would make the moon go completely dark, but instead, the moon gets illuminated by indirect sunlight (which surprisingly makes things far more interesting).

Red Moon is your Conscious Self - who you are and who you are becoming. Red Moon is the cosmic seed of awakened awareness. Consume it like a fruit, and let it blossom within you. You are on the quest of self-remembrance, of Godseed. If you work with the energy of Red Moon with clear awareness and attention, an awakened state of remembrance will.

The Moon, in Astrology, is the ruler of Cancer. The Moon represents our deepest personal needs, our basic habits and reactions, and our unconscious. Where the Sun acts, the Moon reacts. SOLAR ECLIPSE MEANING. A solar eclipse is a turbocharged New Moon. Generally, New Moon rituals are perfect for planting new seeds and starting afresh. We are essentially working on the blank canvas of the dark moon where our ideas can gestate in the new moon soil. But with an Eclipse, the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. Candle Color Meanings, color is a form of vibrational energy which affects us on different levels. Subconsciously, we all know how we react to different colors. The color of a candle, or of anything in your immediate environment, is like a key which unlocks a certain compartment of your subconscious mind, and of your entire being. The July Full Moon has special importance in the Mayan calendar. Known as the Red Moon, it activates the theme of abundance that prevails in the Mayan year of Ocman, which began on May 19. I was fascinated to discover that the calendar connects this cycle to the current sun spot phenomenon, which it had predicted thousands of years ago.

This is where the color red comes in. The atmosphere acts as a filtration system for sunlight, causing a color shift known as Rayleigh scattering, according to is, coincidentally, the same phenomena that creates all the many vibrant colors in the sky during sunrises and sunsets. Since the moon is only absorbing a tiny amount of sunlight and the color red is least altered in the filtration process, you get — voila! — a blood moon.

Scientific explanations aside, there’s a weightier reason why all of humanity has observed blood moons with reverence since the beginning of time (and countless astrological articles analyzing its significance are published every day).

A supermoon is like every other full moon except infinitely more powerful. The closer the moon is to the Earth, the more intense are the pull on the tides, as well as all of your instincts, feelings, and overall complications in life. When a supermoon is combined with a total lunar eclipse, you get one strong cocktail of cosmic forces. An eclipse symbolizes beginnings, endings, culminations, and clean slates.

Whether you’re ready for it or not, an eclipse is the perfect time to finally make a decision you've been afraid to make,to add your final touches to a project that’s been driving you mad, to break off a relationship that lately has been feeling like dead weight, to gather up the courage to ask your crush out, to finally start writing that novel, to quit your dead-end job and follow your dreams. Eclipses are necessary times that book-end the period of life you've been living in. Basically, this story is over but a new one will begin tomorrow. No matter where you're at in life, the eclipse will push you out of our comfort zone. This might result in success as much as it could in failure but one thing's for sure: by the time it's over, you will have grown.

Basically, we’re actors in a play the universe has been writing and when the eclipse comes to town, it wants to see a climactic moment. I’m sure you’re beginning to feel the engines revving into action, the butterflies swarming your stomach, your heart beating a little faster than usual as you prepare for the final countdown.

Astrological significance of blood moon

As intense as this moment might feel, don’t worry too much. For as final as an eclipse can seem, it also gives us a second chance with a new beginning since a fresh lunar cycle will start the next day.All full moons bring your deepest desires and feelings to the surface but an eclipse yanks it out of you, then sets it free. This can give you a sense of completion or a sense of emptiness. No matter which direction the eclipse decides to take you in, it’ll force you to let go of all your worries by the time its over and start again.

On Jan. 31, the super blue blood moon will be in Leo, and Leo is not one to shy away from a challenge, to hide behind the curtains nervously awaiting their cue. Leo is the star of the show, baby, and they’re not going to let this play be a boring one. If you’re feeling the trepidations of things going awry, you might as well not think about it too much. This super blood moon in Leo is bringing in the fireworks, one way or another.

Blood Moon Tetrad

Infrequently in the history of the world comes an astrological/astronomical event called a Blood Moon Tetrad. This event is a series of 4 lunar eclipses over a two year period. Even more infrequently these lunar eclipses coincide with Biblical Holidays. During the years 2014 and 2015 this Blood Moon Tetrad will occur on the Biblical Holiday of Pesach and Sukkot. This actually will occur in both years for the Holiday of Pesach and Sukkot. The Hebrew Calendar equivalent years are 5774 and 5775. It is interesting to note that the year 5775 is a Sabbatical Year called Shemitah in Hebrew. It is also interesting to note that the Sabbatical year will end on Rosh HaShana 2015 which will start the Hebrew year of 5776. It is also interesting to note that the year 5775 is the 10th year of a Yovel or Jubilee.

Astrological Meaning Of A Red Moon

There have only been 7 Blood Moon Tetrads since the year 1 of the Common Era. As we know in Kabbalah 7 is a significant number. There were 2 in the 20th Century. One immediately following the establishment of the Government of the modern state of Israel (1949-50) and the other immediately preceding the reunification of Jerusalem with the modern state of Israel (1967-68). There was also one in the years 1493-94. This dealt with the expulsion from Spain of the Jews and the discovery of the Americas.

What is the meaning of the Blood Moon Tetrad?

The Talmud teaches that lunar eclipses are negative omens for the Jewish Nation and solar eclipses are a negative omen for the other 70 nations. It also says that when the moon is red it is indicative of war and bloodshed. With that being said we also need the information about two solar eclipses that will occur coincidently in the year 2015. One on the first of Nissan and partial solar eclipse on Rosh HaShana the first day of Tishrai.

The general understanding of the Blood Moon Tetrad is that just as the first of the 4 lunar eclipses a significant event will happen within the history of man. It may be natural disaster or a man-made event. If it does not happen at the first event then it will happen just before or after the 4th event. Please note that the idea of the 4 lunar eclipses relates to the 4 letters of the Tetragrammaton.

In Hebrew Astrology a lunar eclipse is thought of as an amplication device. It amplifies the energy that is in the cosmos at the time of the event. What is the energy of the cosmos on the night of the first Seder? It is free lunch. The same light that comes into the universe on Shavuot - the night of the revelation of the Torah comes into the universe on the night of the first Seder. Then this light disappears and returns on Shavuot. The 50 days in between are an important ritual of cleansing and building your vessel. This year due to the amplication effect of the lunar eclipse the revelation of the Light of the Torah will have a greater impact. Let us hope that people will realize that their vessel needs to be built to a greater degree so that they will be able to handle the change the world will undergo over the next 50 days.

To truly understand what will happen on the night of Passover 5774 read this paragraph.

Every year on Passover the same energy of the initial redemption comes into the universe. It is the energy of the revelation of the Torah that takes place on Shavuot. There is only one difference. On Pesach HaShem created a miracle and changed the natural rules of the universe. On Pesach the energy is free. There is no bread of shame since the Children of Israel had fallen to the 49th Gate of Negativity and HaShem did not want them to fall any farther. Therefore, he revealed the Light of Torah on Pesach during the plague of the first born. There was free energy that night and then that energy left the universe until it was to return on Shavuot. The difference is that on Shavuot to receive the energy one must have earned it by counting the Omer. This avoids the penalty of Bread of Shame.

On Pesach 5774 the lunar eclipse will amplify this energy. The lunar eclipse will make the energy of freedom stronger. This strength will cause the manifestation of the Peace in the Middle East promised in the verse discussed in the next paragraph. The world will change do to this amplification just as it changed in 1948 with the revelation of the modern state of Israel and also in 1967 with the reunification of Jerusalem. You can wait on the sidelines and watch or you can participate in the joy of this change this Pesach. That choice is yours to make.

There is one hint in the Torah that will explain this world change. It is the verse in Samuel Bet Chapter 7:10. This verse which we at yeshshem and our students have been saying since the beginning of the year 5774 relates to the potential peace treaty between the government of Israel and the government of the Palestinian People. This will manifest during or shortly after these 50 days leading up to or shortly after Shavuot.

As to the possibility of what the world change will be if it manifests after the 4th lunar eclipse we will write about this when we reveal the messages in the Name of the year 5775. You can find a partial revealment on any Yeshshem web page.

Second Blood Moon of the Tetrad

Astrological moon chart

Astrological Moon Today

This takes place on October 8th of 2014. Erev Sukkot is the night of October 8th. It is not yet clear to me the timing of this Lunar eclipse. Is it the morning of October 8 or the evening of October 8th? When the timing is clear i will add more to this page.

One point to remember is that this is the month of Tishrai in the year 5775. 5775 is a Shemita year. Here is a link to the page that i have written about the year 5775. It is not yet complete.

Thirds Blood Moon of the Tetrad

The third blood moon will also be on Pesach. Whether it is the morning of the First Night or the Night of the second Night of Pesach is not yet clear since i do not know the exact timing of the lunar eclipse. Once that is revealed to me i will write more about this third moon. In any event this moon during Pesach will amplify the energy of the Free Energy of Pesach. Pesach comes with out Bread of Shame attached to it.

Fourth Blood Moon of the Tetrad

This fourth Moon takes place also close to or as the first night of Sukkot. It is on September 28th 2015. More will follow.

Grand X on April 23 2014

On April 23 2014 four planets will form what is called in Astrology a Grand X. The 4 planets are Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars. This has been building for months and will decline as a process of months as the form of the cross moves away from each other.

A Grand X causes 2 planets to be square to each other and 2 planets to be opposed to each other. In other words a period of confusion. Some energies support each other while other energies contest with each other.

Since Hebrew Astrology knew about the outer planets but did not use them in the calculations since they represent the Upper Three Sefirot who always act together. In our generation these planets are acting on certain souls but not all souls. The souls that they do act upon are those who need the extra push represented by the Upper Sefirot. For other souls the three upper planets will continue to act through the other planets.

In other words the confusion is between the traditional energy of Mars representing war, conflict, and forcing my values onto others and the energy of Tzedek or Jupiter which is Justice and Righteousness. Should i help the downtrodden or fight to keep the status quo. This is the energy of confusion that people will be feeling. If someone put their life in order through the ritual of the Seder they will feel this confusion to a much smaller effect than the other peoples of the world who did not do this.
